At Margaret McMillan, we are passionate about your child’s learning and development. We welcome all families and children and ensure that every child, regardless of background or ability, is loved and nurtured to get the best start in education!
Our children are delightful, making the school a unique, magical, and happy place! I am proud to be the Head Teacher of Margaret McMillan Nursery School, leading a team of passionate and experienced professionals, who strive for the best outcome for every child.
The Early Years are such a special and important time in our lives!
As your child starts with us, they will experience a curriculum that offers a range of exciting learning opportunities. They will have access to our wonderful gardens, block play, music and movement, local and further afield trips, and more. Their safe learning environment, well-equipped with natural, heuristic and open-ended resources, will encourage and promote their curiosity, explorations, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving. They will enjoy purposely designed outdoor spaces, providing opportunities to be challenged and learn how to assess and take risks.
Parental input and involvement are critical in a child’s school life.
We will work in partnership with you through termly progress meetings.
Parent events, including reading, art and craft activities and Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and parent workshops are organised ranging from toilet training to den building.
